1st gen ethiopian opal pendant

This beautiful opal pendant is the first generation of pendants I have made in my shop. Made with silver and showcasing an amazing Ethiopian opal, this pendant is perfect for everyday wearing. This opal has multiple patterns of color play with predominant greens, reds and yellows with flashes of blue and orange. Ethiopian opal is a hydrophane opal and absorbs water turning the stone translucent to clear. If wearing to pendant around water try not to get it wet for hydrophane opals do have the tendency to crack or craze if dried out to quickly. Just put the pendant in a ziplock bag for a week sealed and the unsealed for another week, and you opal should be back to its brilliant self.
